Through the help of our dedicated members, volunteer users', community development companies, friends and family PlanetTeen experienced many enhancements, modifications and growth spurts.

While we never achieved the "mega-site" status, there was something different about our site and it's users. That difference was a true sense of community and family.

At PlanetTeen you weren't just a random visitor and the operator of the site wasn't an unseen or unknown participant. Here everyone was welcome and everyone became part of our family. In the moments of 'unwelcome' or 'predator' visitors, our user's were self-policing and jumped to action! This was a community built on trust, caring and a sense of family hard to find in the MySpaces' of today.

PlanetTeen changed lives, shaped lives and left a lasting impact on many of it's members. There are several 'success' stories from overcoming the challenges of drug abuse, teen pregnancy and to providing the support and encouragement to fulfill dreams. PlanetTeen's users made a difference.

While we planned big and dreamed big, unfortunately, PlanetTeen wasn't shielded against the operational costs or in position to compete with it's larger competitors. In the end, we succumbed to financial hardships and declined as many online communities do.

Offline, but not forgotten, PlanetTeen continues to be a passion and a topic of discussion. The difference we made continues to be encouragement for a future rebirth.

As we go forward, in this new year, let it be known that I am working diligently behind the scenes to see that PlanetTeen has the opportunity to be online again.
